We’ve seen the first ten minutes of the Pretty Little Liars Season 3 premiere (Season 3, Episode 1: “It Happened ‘That Night’”) thanks to the Pretty Little Puzzle Hunt, and we are pleased to report that there are tons of surprises and twists in that brief segment alone. The first of which has to do with that mysterious image of Emily (Shay Mitchell) standing over a grave that we first saw in the Canadian promo.

When the girls spend the night at Spencer’s (Troian Bellisario) house, drinking during a thunderstorm, Spencer, Aria (Lucy Hale), and Hanna (Ashley Benson) wake up to realize that Emily is gone in the middle of the night. They call her cell, and we see that she is standing over an open grave holding a shovel. Then, we see the name on the grave: Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse).

But that’s not even the strangest part! Emily peers into the coffin, which has been opened, to see that someone has stolen Ali’s body. At first, the girls worry that a drunk Emily did it somehow, but she can barely stand. Then, the final twist: Someone came into Spencer’s house while all the girls were sleeping, and called Emily using Spencer’s cell phone. That same somebody lured Em to Ali’s grave. As Spencer says, “It’s a set-up.”

Who could still be torturing the girls now that Mona (Janel Parrish) is in Radley Sanitorium? And where is Alison’s body? Why is it missing?
