On Pretty Little Liars, everyone’s love life could best be summed up in a Rihanna song, but perhaps no one knows about finding love in a hopeless place more than Emily.
After tragically losing her first love Maya (Bianca Lawson) last season, Emily opened up her heart to Paige (Lindsey Shaw). And while things started off shaky -- we’re talking about you, Nate (Sterling Sulieman) -- the two eventually started to trust one another. That is, until Paige was kidnapped and almost killed by Nate.
However, Nate's big, bad plan only made Paigly stronger, but we know no couple in Rosewood stays happy for very long, especially when there’s a psycho stalker with a deadly agenda on the loose.
So will Paige and Emily have a happy ending this season? Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Shay Mitchell at the launch of Nanette Lepore’s new fashion line for JCPenney, L’Amour Nanette Lepore, in New York City on Thursday (January 24). And it turns out this Pretty Little Liar is a total Paigly shipper!
“Oh my god. I love Paigly!” said Shay. “I hope that they do have a good relationship ahead, but you never know. It’s Rosewood! Somebody likes to mess everything up all the time, so we’ll see where it goes. But Paige is definitely there for Emily as much as Emily is there for Paige this season.”
But what about Paige and Caleb’s (Tyler Blackburn) new plan to go rogue and find “A’s” lair without the Liars’ help? Surely, that’s bound to complicate Emily and Paige’s “good relationship.”
“Paige and Caleb are playing a very dangerous game. They’re trying to go behind Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Emily’s backs, and they’re putting themselves in danger. We know ‘A’ doesn’t play nice.”
Um, that’s the understatement of the year, Shay! Hopefully, Paige and Caleb don’t get themselves into too much trouble. Whether you love them or hate them, one thing's for sure: Paigly is here to stay... for now.
“I don’t think Emily could take losing another person she loves,” added Shay.
We couldn’t agree more! Poor Em. Do you want to see Emily and Paige live happily ever after? Sound off in the comments!
