Based on the Pretty Little Liars Season 3 premiere (Season 3, Episode 1: “It Happened ‘That Night’”) and this sneak peek for Season 3, Episode 2: “Blood Is the New Black,” it looks like Garrett (Yani Gellman) is going to be a major player this season. In the past, Yani Gellman has said Garrett will get his "day in court," but does that mean we'll actually see him on trial for Alison's (Sasha Pieterse) murder?

Recently a fan asked showrunner Marlene King, "Is Garrett's trial in the Summer Finale?"

Marlene replied "sort of but not exactly."

What does that mean? We can think of a couple explanations. Maybe the trial will be in an earlier episode, and the verdict in the finale. Or maybe Garrett reaches a settlement before going to trial during the episode. Or maybe he's about to go to trial when a new piece of evidence turns up and throws the case into chaos.

What do you think it means? Let us know in the comments below.
