The Pretty Little Liars Season 3 Halloween episode (Season 3, Episode 13: “This Is a Dark Ride”) blew our minds for many reasons, but perhaps most shocking of all was the revelation that Byron Montgomery (Chad Lowe) may have been talking to Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) on the night she died.
So, how will that play out in the next season? Executive producers Marlene King and Oliver Goldstick dished on what to expect in the January 11 issue of Entertainment Weekly.

"You're going to believe Byron killed Alison," Oliver Goldstick teased. "Byron had a very weird, off-the-walls relationship with Alison."
Hmmm ... Here's the thing: If all signs point to Byron having done it, isn't it likely he didn't? It seems like most of the time on PLL, when we think someone's guilty of something, the truth turns out to be far more complicated.
Meanwhile, Marlene and Oliver also teased what's coming up with Mona (Janel Parrish). Marlene warns that while the original "A" may claim to be better now that she's out of Radley, "she's a villain out walking amongst the PLLs."
