One of the upsides of the Toby (Keegan Allen)-is-"A" plotline on Pretty Little Liars Season 3 is that it's giving the uber-talented Troian Bellisario (Spencer) a chance to shine, as Spencer deals with the biggest betrayal of her life. Troian recently spoke to After Ellen about her character's journey this season, and why she's so thrilled to play it.

"[This plot] was such a gift, and so much fun," Troian gushed. "I'm so excited for the fans to see it, because I don't think that they've ever seen Spencer like this.

Troian revealed one thing we can expect is to see Spencer beat herself up over her failure to recognize the warning signs earlier.

"I think that truly is one of the biggest heartbreaks for Spencer, because she has so much pride in her intelligence," Troian explained. "And you see that with Mona [Janel Parrish], too. Her devastation is not that this person was torturing her, but that she didn't figure it out ... And I think it's the same thing that happens all over again with Toby."
