Pretty Little Liars showrunner Marlene King has tweeted “a haunting image from the summer premiere.” What does the pic reveal about television’s most-anticipated return? Read on to find out!

The photo shows the charred remnants of a piano. The instrument sits in a burned-up room of a similar state. We think this glimpse might be a look at what remains of the Thornhill Lodge, the Hastings remote cabin that was burnt to a crisp (with nearly Aria, Hanna, Emily, and Mona inside) in the Season 3 finale.

Are the girls back at the lodge looking for clues? We’d be very interested if they were, considering we’re not sure who set the fire either. Red Coat (Ali?) pulled the Liars to safety from the burning building, so it doesn’t make sense that this was an “A” Team plot. This leaves the “B” Team, an entity we still don’t understand. Could it have been Shana, Jenna, or Melissa who set the fire?

Perhaps the girls are rooting around the burnt lodge in an effort to clear Toby’s name. Someone knocked Pretty Eyes out in the nearby woods and planted a lighter on him. Could the Rosewood Police Department think that Toby is the arsonist who set the fire? If so, the Liars are going to have to get pretty creative about getting the back-from-the-dead Toby out of the slammer.

What do you think the charred piano means? Let us know in the comments below!
