Pretty Little Liars showrunner Marlene King’s latest Season 4 premiere script spoiler has us measuring the Liars cast of characters’ indestructibility. What line did Marlene tweet from the season opener, and what does it tell us about the episode?
"What would happen to you? Seems like you're indestructible." Marlene shared this tidbit yesterday, and it has us speculating on who the convo could be taking place between.
Our first guess is that it has to do with Mona (Janel Parrish). Who else has survived falling off of a cliff, a lodge fire, and Spencer’s wrath all in a little over a season? We hope the tension between Mona and Spencer continues in the Season 4, even if Mona is playing nice with the Liars. We could see this line being said by Spence to Mona with her trademark snark. Could the Liars and Mona be planning a mission of their own?
Another possibility is Jenna (Tammin Sursok). She has survived quite a bit of her own, most notably “the Jenna thing,” aka the fire that took her sight. It’s back for now, but apparently will slowly fade until she is blind again (though no one knows this but Jenna herself and Shana). We know that Toby’s past will be playing a role in the upcoming season and that Jenna is a part of that past. Will we be seeing more interaction between these step-siblings? If so, we could see Toby saying this line to Jenna. (Or vice versa. After all, Toby did come back from the dead.)
A third, less intense option involves newcomer Jake, the hot martial arts instructor who may have eyes for Aria. Is Aria taking martial arts class (a little self-defense training couldn’t hurt)? Or maybe Mike Montgomery, who we now know will be in Season 4, will be picking up the skill? In the first two seasons, it seemed like picking her brother up from sports practices was Aria’s part-time job. However she ends up interacting with Jake, we could see Aria saying this line to Jake.
Who do you think speaks this line? Let us know in the comments below!
