Pretty Little Liars has had its fair share of creepy dolls. Season 2 even had an entire episode entitled “If These Dolls Could Talk” (the one with the doll store and the spooky child, Seth, who lived there). Well, if you are a particular fan of this PLL motif, then it sounds like you have plenty to look forward to in Season 4, Episode 1: “A Is For A-L-I-V-E.”
“If you like dolls then you'll love 401,” PLL showrunner Marlene King tweeted yesterday. Will the Liars be making a return to the creepy doll shop or are there more than one of those in around? If any location could support the market, it is the greater Rosewood area.
Or maybe this tease could be related to the mask-making character, Hector Lime. Hector won’t be appearing until Season 4, Episode 3: “Cat’s Cradle,” but perhaps the dolls lead them in his direction. Dolls and masks aren’t technically related, but in this show, they both tend to signify the same thing: the Liars’ anonymous terrorizer(s).
In Season 2, the Liars received dolls in the mail. If the Liars wanted to keep the missing Dr. Sullivan alive, then they had to follow the instructions left with their respective doll. Could “A” resurrect this blackmail delivery system? Or could Dr. Sullivan’s mysterious connection to “A” and “Pretty Eyes” (who we now know is Toby) come into play?
How do you think the dolls will factor in Season 4, Episode 1? Let us know your theories in the comments below!
