We’re still excited about the season 3 finale revelation that Toby (Keegan Allen) is, in fact, alive and well and in love with Spencer (Troian Bellisario). All is right in the world ... unless you take into account that Toby and Spence never formally handed in their “A” team resignations and Pretty Eyes’ explanation for being on the “A” team was a bit ... vague. Luckily, it sounds like we might be getting more Toby backstory in the season 4 premiere.

Here’s what PLL showrunner Marlene King had to tweet: “Yes. [There will be a flashback in the season 4 premiere]. And here's a tease. It's from Toby's POV.”

That’s right! We’re going to see a flashback through Pretty Eyes’s...eyes. Which is great, because we still have so many questions regarding Toby. We trust him (we think), but we want to know how long he has been working with the “A” team, what he had to do to keep their trust, and how all of this is connected to his mother.

We’re guessing the flashback is when Toby’s mom, Marion Cavanaugh, comes into play. We know she will be in the Season 4 premiere and since she's been dead since the start of the show, we’re relatively sure (because, really, who ever stays dead on this show?) it will be in flashback form.

Maybe we will get some answers about Toby’s mother’s connection to the charming Eddie Lamb, who told Spencer that he knew a Toby Cavanaugh whose mother used to be in Radley. Could it just be a coincidence that Toby was using E. Lamb’s badge to sneak into Radley to meet with Mona? Are Toby and Eddie actually BFFs? We hope so.

Or perhaps the flashback will be related to the emotionally-wrenching blackmail “A” is poised to hold over Toby’s head in Season 4? Poor Pretty Eyes. He just can’t catch a break, can he?
