We have to admit that we are confused by one of Pretty Little Liars showrunner Marlene King’s most recent tweets. Most of the Ezria scoop coming out the of PLL camp has said that, though Ezria is endgame, fans are going to have a tough time at least in the beginning of Season 4, and we have accepted that. Then this happened:

“A mother is supposed to reassure her kids," a fan tweeted at Marlene. "@imarleneking you're the mother and we are the Ezria fans.” and “Are we ever gonna be happy again? Just tell us that. Pleaseeee.”

In reply Marlene tweeted “For a while everyone will be happy."

What? Does this mean that Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) will enjoy a brief reunion in the first episode? Or does she mean that everyone will be happy for a while down the road? Perhaps she mis-tweeted and meant “in a while”?

What makes the most sense is that she is referring to Ezra and Aria’s happiness and not the happiness of Ezria fans. It’s not so hard to believe that Ezra and Aria could find happiness apart from one another, even if they eventually decide that what makes them most happy is being together. In Season 3, Aria expressed her love for Ezra to her mother through tears. She did not look like someone who was happy in love. We think some time apart may be good for Ezria.

What sense can you make from this tweet? Do you think Ezra and Aria will be happy apart? Let us know in the comments below!
