Pretty Little Liars Speculation: Is CeCe the Girl in the Red Coat?
The Pretty Little Liars Season 3 finale (Season 3, Episode 24: "A dAngerous gAme") is supposed to give us answers, and we're not talking little ones. We will supposedly learn who the girl in the red coat is, which is one of the biggest answers we could ask for at this point.
Before the episode airs, we want to take an in-depth look at some of our main theories about who could be behind the red. Here, we present the case for why CeCe (Vanessa Ray) could be the culprit.
The look is right. While the girl in red could obviously be wearing a wig, if she is a blonde, CeCe's one of the few suspicious characters who fits the bill.
She's definitely suspicious. Whether she's the Big "A", an "A" minion, or just independently sketchy, there are definitely a ton of reasons to distrust CeCe. Some notable examples include that time she conveniently "helped" Spencer get a late application into UPenn (we're still not convinced that was legit); her lies about what she did and didn't know about Wilden and Ali; and the fact that the earring that made Paige look guilty during the summer season showed up in Paige's bag while she was at CeCe's store.
Her personality and knowledge. In the second episode of the PLL web series, Pretty Dirty Secrets, Jason told CeCe "[Ali] was a kid playing childish games until you came along and helped her take them to the next level." CeCe is cruel and manipulative enough to be Big "A", and, thanks to her close relationship with Ali, she also had access to many of the Liars' secrets.
She has motive — kinda. For the longest time, we had no idea why CeCe would care about a bunch of high schoolers. But now that we know that Ali got her kicked out of college, things are different. That would give her reason to hate Ali, and it's possible she decided to extend her grudge to Ali's friends because, let's face it, anyone willing to head the "A" team has got to be a bit unstable.
Plus, we still don't know what the "A" team's end goal is. If CeCe was involved with Ali's murder (and she definitely has motive for that), it's possible she headed the "A" team as a way to distract the girls from ever learning the truth.
What do you think: Could CeCe be the Big "A", or do you think she doesn't have a good enough motive to hurt the Liars?
