The Pretty Little Liars Season 3 summer finale is coming to a close on August 28, 2012, and based on a new sneak peek Season 3, Episode 12: “The Lady Killer” will be an episode to remember.

In the sneak peek, we see someone being loaded into an ambulance while Hanna (Ashley Benson) sobs. Then we see a policeman question Emily (Shay Mitchell), asking "the deceased was a friend of yours?" and "I'm trying to understand what happened. Did you know the victim?" which seems to confirm that there is another death after all. A second body is rolled by as they talk, and Emily says she DID know "the deceased."
So, does someone close to Hanna die? We're thinking maybe not. Here are our theories, based on the sneak peek.
There's a fight. Our guess is that there's a fight. One person is seriously injured and put in the ambulance, and the other is killed.
Theory one: Hanna is close to the INJURED person. While Hanna sobs, Aria (Lucy Hale) rubs her and says "it's okay, it's okay." This makes us think Hanna's not close to the person who dies, because we don't think Aria would say "it's okay" as a way to comfort Hanna if someone she loves dies.
In this case, given how upset Hanna is, we would guess the injured person is either Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) or her mom, though possibly it could be Lucas (Brendan Robinson) or Wren (Julian Morris), too (though if it were Wren we'd expect to see more of a reaction from Spencer [Troian Bellisario]).
Theory two: Mona. Our second theory is that Hanna is crying over Mona (Janel Parrish). We do know her story in the finale is dramatic, and this would definitely count. But if it's Mona, does she die, or is she just injured? While we could see Aria saying "it's okay" even if Mona dies (especially if someone killed her in self-defense), it sounds like the winter season is going to feature some Mona-heavy episodes, so we suspect she lives. (Though there are always flashbacks...)
Theory three: A hard day. This is the least likely to us, but maybe Hanna isn't actually more connected to the dead and injured parties than the other Liars. Maybe she's just already had something else especially stressful happen to her earlier in the episode, and this is her breaking point.
Maybe we're being overly optimistic. What do you think happens?
