Sasha Pieterse (Alison DiLaurentis) recently said that there is a “crazy” twist coming up on Pretty Little Liars Season 3 involving Alison, and it’s something the fans don’t know about. We’re all for surprises on PLL, but we can’t help guessing what this shocker might be. Here are some possibilities.

Alison’s twin is in town. We know that a girl who looks exactly like Alison was murdered. In the PLL books, we find out that the girl who Aria (Lucy Hale), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Emily (Shay Mitchell), and Hanna (Ashley Benson) know as Ali is actually Courtney DiLaurentis, Ali’s insane twin. Ali murders Courtney, and then stayed out of sight. Now that we know the show is following the books at least in terms of “A”’s identity (Mona Vanderwaal [Janel Parrish], at first), isn’t it possible that they will use the twin storyline as well?

Alison is still alive. Leaving out the twin theory, and assuming that the murdered girl is not Alison, it’s plausible that all of the dreams, hallucinations, and visions of Alison that Emily and Spencer have had were not just dreams. What if they were real? Sasha has said in the past that Alison protects the Little Liars. Maybe she’s kept them out of harm’s way this whole time.

Alison is related to the Hastings, too. Jason (Drew Van Acker) revealed that his real father is Mr. Hastings. Somehow, Alison found out about this, but how? And if both families were able to keep Jason’s real parentage a secret for so long, who’s to say they weren’t keeping Alison’s real background a secret too? Remember: we know practically nothing about Alison’s father, and for a show so involved with father-daughter relationships, that seems like a big void worth exploring.

Alison is either the Black Swan or the blonde in the red dress from the masquerade party. With her Vivian Darkbloom wig, she could have possibly been the Black Swan who ran away from the girls at the ball. With her blonde hair, she could be the blonde who stopped by the ball, and was also seen in the last shot of the Season 2 finale as Maya’s body was wheeled away.
