After the big Pretty Little Liars betrAyal, we've had to recalibrate our thinking about who is and isn't a potential "A" team member.
Obviously, at this point there isn't anything we know for sure — except that there is definitely at least one more member of the team who we've already met. But let's run down a list of some of our biggest suspects from the past, and see how they stand now in light of everything we learned in the finale.
Garrett (Yani Gellman): Mona (Janel Parrish) apparently wanted Garrett out of jail, so we're definitely highly suspicious of him at this point — even if he's not running around town in a black hoodie, it seems like he probably has some kind of connection to the team.
Melissa Hastings (Torrey DeVitto): And if Garrett is involved, that means Melissa very well might be, too. On the other hand, maybe he's just using her for information and to get closer to the Liars.
Jenna Marshall (Tammin Sursok): Toby (Keegan Allen) being part of the "A" team makes us think Jenna probably isn't on the team. There seems to be a lot of tension between them, and if Toby has been on the "A" team all along maybe he purposefully made the Liars suspect Jenna so they'd be on the wrong track. But who knows, maybe they're secretly working together after all.
Noel Kahn (Brant Daugherty): If Jenna isn't on the "A" team than we think Noel probably isn't, either. On the other hand, he did date Mona … maybe he moved on to Jenna as part of a master plan?
Jason DiLaurentis (Drew Van Acker): Where the heck is Jason these days? If Garrett and Melissa are involved, maybe that means the whole NAT club is. On the other hand, Jason isn't on the best terms with his old buds, so it's quite possible he split with them before they theoretically joined the "A" team. At this point we're leaning towards thinking Jason is innocent.
Lucas Gottesman (Brendan Robinson): Still totally sketchy. Something is definitely up with him, whether it's "A" related or not.
Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse): We still like the idea that Ali is alive and is the main "A", or perhaps it's her theoretical twin. However we have a hard time believing Toby could be convinced to work with her — unlike Mona, he didn't really crave her approval.
Paige McCullers (Lindsey Shaw): The "A" team was trying to frame Paige for Maya's (Bianca Lawson) murder. Unless the team has some serious in-fighting going on, there is about zero chance Paige is on it.
CeCe (Vanessa Ray): CeCe told Spencer (Troian Bellisario) a terrible story about Paige right around the time the "A" team was trying to set her up, which looks mighty suspicious to us. We're not convinced she's a full-fledged member of the team, but we wouldn't be surprised if someone asked her to tell that story.
Wren Kingston (Julian Morris): Our thinking on Wren hasn't changed much. We still want to trust him because he's adorable, but he's also still suspiciously interested in the Liars' lives.
Ezra Fitz (Ian Harding): Paige was abducted by a crazed murderer. Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) was shot. Toby was busy being "A". And Ezra … chilled at home. Once again, the pattern of Ezra remaining untouched by the really bad stuff continues. Coincidence? After the Toby reveal, we know the writers have a lot of guts, so maybe they would go there with Ezra...
