In case you hadn’t heard, Pretty Little Liars is launching a web series called Pretty Dirty Secrets, set to premiere immediately after the Season 3 summer finale (Season 3, Episode 12: “The Lady Killer”). It will chronicle the weeks leading up to the Halloween episode, and some of Rosewood’s least trustworthy characters will be featured.
But who is new character Shana, and how big of an impact will her character make?
As we know, most, if not all, of the action on PDS will take place in the creepy Halloween store we first saw in Season 2, Episode 13: ”The First Secret”. We know from these spoiler photos that Jason (Drew Van Acker), Lucas (Brendan Robinson), Noel (Brant Daugherty), and CeCe will all be hanging out in there, along with some super-scary costumes come to life — including that baby-faced monster costume worn by an anonymous group on Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) last Halloween.
In the photos we see Noel is talking to Shana, played by Aeriel Miranda. Shana is wearing a nametag, and that’s because she’s a clerk at the Halloween store. She and Noel are smiling flirtatiously at each other, so we can only presume that Noel is trying out his best game on Shana. Does that mean there’s trouble in Jenna (Tammin Sursok)/Noel Land?
Lucas is also seen talking to Shana as she reads a book behind the counter, and she appears to be kind and engaging with Lucas as well. It looks like the bookworm even makes her laugh. But in a more sinister image, Shana looks over her shoulder at Lucas, and we see the baby-faced monster approaching him from behind.
Shana is making her debut in the web series, but she will play a part in the PLL Season 3 winter season as well. According to ABC Family, “the character of Shana will later be seen in the Pretty Little Liarsseries airing in early 2013.”
Do you think Shana is brand new to all the drAma in Rosewod? Or is she secretly on someone’s side already?
