On Pretty Little Liars Season 3, Episode 6: “The Remains of the ‘A’” Aria (Lucy Hale) found a pile of cash in Ezra's (Ian Harding) sock drawer. He explained it away by claiming he sold his car, but we don't exactly trust that explanation, and it looks like we're not the only ones giving him the serious side-eye right now.
So was his explanation the real deal? A new tweet from showrunner Marlene King hints at the answer.

On Sunday, July 22 — well after Episode 6 aired — a fan asked Marlene, "Will we be finding out the TRUTH soon about how Ezra got all that money?"
Marlene replied, "Yes."
Marlene's answer implies that Ezra's explanation is, in fact, a lie (or at least not the whole story) — after all, if we already know the whole truth, wouldn't Marlene have have said that, instead of saying "Yes" to a question about finding it out soon?
This tweet, combined with Ian Harding telling us that the money is going to involve "kind of a one-two-punch reveal" and hinting that "[Ezra]’s not as good as he’s made out to be" leads us to think there is a whole lot more to that pile of cash than Ezra is letting on. It sounds like the real story might not be an easy one to swallow.
