She’s the one, the only, Mona (Janel Parrish). Pretty Little Liars fans know her as the petite crazy girl whose hobbies include stalking, purchasing black hoodies and teaming up with Toby (Keegan Allen). But what’s next for the menacing ex-bestie of Hanna (Ashley Benson) now that she can so easily escape the hospital? Well, other than appearing in the Halloween episode (Season 3, Episode 13: “This Is a Dark Ride”).

When a fan took to Twitter to ask PLL writer Joseph Dougherty if Mona will appear in the Halloween episode and what her costume will look like, Joseph responded, “Mona's there, she likes Halloween ‘Better than Christmas.’ And Mona, is always Mona no matter how she looks.”

We’re assuming that the description of thinking Halloween is “better than Christmas” is said by none other than Mona herself in the Halloween episode, which means (surprisingly) she’s up to no good. If Christmas is all about gift giving, we assume Mona is using Halloween as the opportunity to give herself a gift a little early this year. But what could that mean for the Liars?

And what could that mean for Christmas? Will Mona stick around Rosewood long enough to enjoy her second favorite holiday?

Moving on to the comment about Mona always being Mona. Basically, we take that to mean that Mona is always “A” no matter what she’s wearing — whether it be a black hoodie, a nurse’s outfit or a Halloween costume. What do you expect Mona to wear to the party? Will she disguise herself or rather try to blend into the crowd?

Regardless, we get the feeling that Mona will play a big part in the drama of Halloween. Something good (meaning bad for the Liars) has to happen in order for her to love it more than Christmas, right? Then again, we think Halloween just suits her better. After all, black blends in perfectly with a dark and spooky night.

Don’t miss the next new episode of PLL, the Halloween special, on Tuesday, October 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
