Pretty Little Liars is revving up for an intense Season 3 summer finale, so we were excited to get a chance to talk to Troian Bellisario (Spencer) about what we can expect from Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Spoby, and the big BetrAyal — including how the betrayer relates to Maya's (Bianca Lawson) killer.

For more from Troian, don't miss the first part of our interview, where she discusses the challenges of playing an assaulted soldier in her new web series, Lauren.

Wetpaint Entertainment: Is there anything you can tease about Spoby in the finale?

Troian Bellisario: Just that Spoby has to go to a whole new level that I don't know if fans were expecting or if they've been expecting for a long time.

They're teasing steamy kissing. Will there be steamy kissing?

It will definitely be steamy kissing.

What do you think Spencer thinks about Wren [Julian Morris] and Hanna [Ashley Benson]?

I think that Spencer's always had a very charged history with Wren, but I think that when it comes to her friends, she's first and foremost a supporter of her friends. Actually I think it gets addressed in the next episode. The great thing about Pretty Little Liars is I don't believe that they're catty girls. They might be catty to other girls, but they're never going to be catty between them. So when it comes to something that's going on, I think she's going to be supportive of what her friends need, more so than her own history.

And we find out who killed Maya in the mid-season finale. What was your reaction to finding out who that was?

I was just happy because I'm the person who kind of drags the answers out of the writer's room months in advance. And often that ends in heartbreak for me because sometimes the writers will come up with these amazingly cool ideas, but then the network will be like, “No. We can't do that yet, or that's too crazy.“ And so I heard about what actually happened to Maya a while ago, and I was just hoping that it was going to get to play out. So when I found out, when we got that final script, I was just really happy that it got to go that route, and I don’t think the fans are going to be disappointed. I think they’re going to be shocked. I don’t think they’re going to be expecting it at all.

Is the killer and the betrayer the same person, or it sort of a one-two punch finale?

The killer and betrayer, I think that they are the same person. Right now my mind is kind of wrapping around the next section, the next season that we’re filming, and there’s another betrayer that is a little bit more on my radar. But the killer is definitely going to be a big surprise.
