Pretty Little Liars showrunner Marlene King took some time recently to wrap her head around the Season 3 winter finale. But she could only contemplate for so long before she was bound to need a break. And what’s more fun to do on a break than tweet?

Marlene decided to let all of us in on the finale just a little bit. She tweeted, “Here's my finale hint... I think I'll finish what I started.”
Could that be a quote from one of the Liars, or maybe from Toby (Keegan Allen) or Mona (Janel Parrish)? It sounds like something Alison (Sasha Pieterse) would say, doesn’t it? Or could that be the title of the finale? If so, what exactly does that mean? It certainly doesn’t sound uplifting...
If the Liars finally take a real stand against “A,” do you think they could come out on top?
What if Marlene is actually referring to what she started when she created the show? Calm down — we’re not talking about her ending the series, but perhaps she’ll put an end to the “A” debacle. Or if we look at this more literally: Alison’s death is what kicked off the series. Could we finally find out what happened to her once and for all?
No matter what happens, one thing is for certain: Something is coming to an end. Could it be a plot, a particular character or the Liars in general? Speaking of, what is the “A” team’s endgame? Do they want to break up the Liars, kill them or simply punish them forever? How could that come to an end?
One final, heartbreaking thought. We’re sorry in advance for putting this out in the universe. But if Marlene is referring to the “A” team and we know Spencer’s world gets “turned upside down” in the finale, could Toby be what comes to an end? You know how often people seem to disappear or, dare we say it, die in Rosewood. We know, we know. We said we were sorry, but we had to give you all the possibilities we could think of.
More importantly, what do you think is possible? Tell us what you think in the comments!
