Ever since Noel Kahn (Brant Daugherty) played his guitar for Aria (Lucy Hale) in the music room, fans have been intrigued by the good-boy-turned-bad. At one point, we thought he was “A,” and then he dated Mona (Janel Parrish), who turned out to be “A.” And now, we’ve seen him kissing Jenna (Tammin Sursok), who is always a top suspect with the Liars. So what exactly is next for the ever-confusing bad boy? Other than the party that he’s throwing tonight, of course.

Brant Daugherty recently spoke to TV Guide about everything from his character’s dark side to his choice of women. According to Daugherty, “If Noel does one thing well, it’s confrontation.” We’re sure Ezra Fitz (Ian Harding) can agree with that statement. However, is Noel really as bad as he’s made out to be?

“We started down the rabbit hole of Noel’s dark side last season, and I think we’re going to continue that,” Daugherty says. And when asked if Noel is capable of violence, Brant responds, “Absolutely.” Could this be foreshadowing of tonight’s episode or what’s to come? Is Noel a part of the summer season finale “A” reveal? Possibly.

But all of that doesn’t mean that Noel still can’t pick up a guitar and make a girl swoon. “He’s not entirely villainous,” he says. We’d like to agree, but then again, we never figured out how much Noel was a part of Mona being “A.” It turns out, Brant is just as curious as we are: “How much did he know? I want to get into that.”

During the interview, the actor also lets it slip that Aria isn’t exactly invited to the Kahn party during tonight’s episode. Daugherty describes the party as one that Aria “kind of stumbles into.” Is he talking literally — as in Aria is drunk and stumbles through his front door? Or does she purposefully make her way to the shindig? We’re betting she doesn’t want to miss out on the big game of “Truth.”

And finally, what does Noel’s choice of women say about him? First he dates Mona, and now he has been seen with Jenna. Is Noel Kahn the ultimate accomplice or is he blissfully ignorant … or somewhere in the middle?

Catch an all-new episode of PLL on Tuesday, August 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
