As we speculated yesterday, that creepy little girl in the Pretty Little Liars Halloween episode (Season 3, Episode 13: “This Is a Dark Ride”) added a lot of weight to the theory that Alison (Sasha Pieterse) had a twin named Courtney growing up — which is also a plot line in the original PLL books. Now, one of the stars is bringing up an “evil twin” in an interview. Coincidence, or a clue?

Yani Gellman (Garrett Reynolds) told The Hollywood Reporter that he definitely thinks his character will be back on PLL in the future, but only in flashbacks. (Which is something we reported yesterday.) “[Showrunner] Marlene [King] mentioned to me that there is a lot of backstory that needs to be explained,” he says. “Who knows. Maybe I have an evil twin who lives the next city over.”

Yani! Around here, you can’t say “evil twin” when talking about PLL and not be referring to the popular fan theory that Ali killed her twin sister Courtney and that’s the “Ali” body that is floating around. Do you think Yani was subtly trying to give fans a hint about what’s to come?

To be fair, we know that the actors rarely ever know what’s going to happen next on the show (or at least until they get their scripts). So we doubt that Yani actually knows if Ali’s twin is coming up on the show. But as we know, in Rosewood, everything is a clue.
