Until now, watching Pretty Little Liars meant week after week of the Little Liars being victimized by "A" at every turn. But, according to a new interview with showrunner Marlene King from TV Fanatic, that's about to change.
According to Marlene, the premiere (Season 2, Episode 14: “Through Many Dangers, Toils, and Snares”), in which the girls successfully tricked "A" and got his/her phone, "set the template" for the rest of the season.
"Especially with Emily (Shay Mitchell) leading the charge," Marlene teased, hinting that "A"'s biggest victim is about to become "A"'s strongest enemy.
This newfound strength isn't restricted to battling "A," either. Now that Ezria is out, Aria (Lucy Hale) is taking things into her own hands. "Aria is not being a victim anymore. She'll get angry and she'll look to redefine 'Ezria' on her own terms."
Does that mean more tension for the Montgomery family? We're guessing Aria won't be too happy with her father's attempt to get Ezra to stay away from her...
Of course, anyone worried about a dead end once “A”’s identity is revealed in the Season 2 finale can put their worries aside. Marlene promises, "There will still be plenty of big mysteries even once A is out there."
