If you all thought that Pretty Little LiarsToby (Keegan Allen) was bad now, you might want to wait until we get a little bit further into Season 3B. According to Keegan, things are going to get even more evil, emotional and, as always, unpredictable.

The Hollywood Reporter recently spoke to Keegan about everything from Toby’s relationship with the Liars to how Spencer (Troian Bellisario) finds out the truth and even a little bit about the Season 3 finale.

First things first. When it comes to Toby nowadays, we are constantly debating just how evil he really is and what it will be like when Spencer learns the truth.

“He really is on this fine line of being a very dangerous villain on the show and also keep his anonymity with his peers with Spencer and girls. At this point, no one knows [outside of Mona]. He will be found out; it's in a really painful way. When I say painful, it's emotional. He is responsible for a lot of issues that happen later on in the season. It's one of those things you have to watch and find out. He is very active in taking part in the destruction later on,” Keegan said.

So is that to say that Toby will continue to act as “A” even after his secret is discovered? We can’t say we’re too surprised there, though a small part of us was hoping he would give it all up to prove his love for Spencer. Sigh.

But if we can say anything about Toby and Spencer’s relationship, it’s that it’s complicated.

“There are so many layers to this relationship between the two of them that it busts open in the most extraordinary way. I like where it goes, but there will be a lot more of this push and pull between them. There is a lot of disagreeing that happens as well.”

Could all of that disagreeing lead to Spencer discovering Toby’s secret? Or does that come later, because we think it’s pretty obvious that the two of them will disagree after Spencer finds out that Toby has been ruining her life for the past few years.

Spencer aside, what can we expect from Toby’s relationship with the rest of the Liars? “It's headed in a really dark direction. There are a lot of twists and turns along the way, which is what the show is known for, flipping everyone on their butts. There is a lot of interaction between Toby and the girls, not only in a malicious way but in a mind-bending kind of way. He really pushes the girls to their breaking point,” Keegan said.

Could the increase in interaction between Toby and the Liars be what leads to Spencer’s suspicions? According to Keegan, Toby’s reveal is less about good detective work and more about one particular slip-up.

“I almost want to tease that there is a slip-up and that's why he gets spotted, a miniscule slip-up. It's so interesting how that happens too: It's so, so minimal, it's pretty amazing. [That] blows [everything] open.”

Will Toby get caught in the hoodie? That would definitely fall under the category of a “slip-up.”

But what will happen until then, like, next week? “In the next episode, ‘Mona-Mania,’ Mona is out of Bradley, and she's being tormented in high school. There is a teaming up between Mona and Toby that's really, really evil. There is a lot of conspiring over the next few episodes, which will be interesting for audiences to see what goes on behind the scenes there,” Keegan said.

It sounds like we’re heading into the “A” team’s lair! As far as we’re concerned, the more Toby, the better. And if you share our philosophy, which episode should you be looking out for?

“Episode 16, which Marlene King directed and wrote. From beginning to end, it's an intensely good episode. The stakes are high,” Keegan said. Could that be the episode when someone slips up?

And finally, you know the season finale is going to be good when the actors aren’t even sure of what to expect.

“I know that the finale is crazy, but I don't know what they chose to do. When they did the ‘A’ team reveal, they shot Lindsay Shaw, Tyler Blackburn in hoodies. The crew had no idea who was going to be ‘A.’ It's very elaborate.”

So does that mean that there is another reveal of some kind that has been shot with multiple endings? Is it another member of the “A” team? Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) murderer? Someone else?

What are you most excited to see in terms of Toby and the rest of Season 3?
