Hidden meanings are par for the course on Pretty Little Liars, so many fans instantly wondered whether Toby's (Keegan Allen) alias, "E. Lamb," stands for something. Thanks to a few helpful hints, fans realized the name is an anagram for "blame," and now showrunner Marlene King has dished on whether or not that was on purpose in a spoiler-y set of tweets.

When a fan asked Marlene if E. Lamb is, in fact, an anagram for "blame," Marlene replied, "Yes, true."
If that had been her only comment on the matter, we wouldn't be sure if she meant "yes, that happens to be true," or "yes, and it's intentional."
However, the fan followed up, noting that now the question is "blame for what." And Marlene replied to that, too, saying, "You will find out."
Well, there you have it: It sounds like fans were spot-on when they noted how E. Lamb could be rearranged. And now we have something new to speculate about: What does "blame" mean?
Is it a hint that Toby still blames the Liars for all of his suffering, or that he's still mad about having to take the blame for a crime he didn't commit? Or maybe it could mean Toby is to blame for bad things happening to the Liars?
