We're not sure what the deal will be with Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Toby (Keegan Allen) when Season 4 of Pretty Little Liars picks up in June. They hooked up in the Season 3 finale, but there is still much unresolved between these two brooders. Luckily, PLL director Norman Buckley has our back, sharing this screenshot from a Season 4 Spoby scene on his Tumblr. What does it tell us about Spoby Season 4?

1. Toby and Spence have scenes together.

That's our immediate and obvious takeaway. We knew that they would be sharing screentime, but seeing is different from hearing, so we’re pretty happy about this basic fact. We forgot how much we missed seeing these two together in scenes – fighting, kissing, joking, crying. Whatever form their dynamic might take in Season 4, we're just psyched to see them together.

2. Toby is back in his apartment (i.e. not in jail).

The Season 3 finale left Toby groggy in the forest, with an incriminating lighter in his hand. We worried that Toby might end up do-ragged and in jail come Season 4, but it seems that he is out and about. The shot seems to be taking place in Toby's apartment. There's still a chance that he is in charged with arson, but if that is the case, he is at least out on parole.

3. There seems to be some distance between the two of them.

In the still frame, we see Toby sitting on a couch in the foreground with his back turned to Spence, who is also not looking at Toby. She is putting something in her bag, looking ready to leave. This shot could have followed a perfectly pleasant goodbye, but we get a different vibe from it. Toby looks pensive and frustrated, while Spence's body language is also downcast. PLL writer Bryan Holdman said, “Season 4 Spoby will be like Season 3 Spoby....but different.” Whatever that means, we worry about these two!

4. Norman Buckley likes... working with Troian and Keegan, and Starbucks.

Norman posted along with the pic, “I love working with these two,” which is very sweet and very understandable. We've never directed Troian and Keegan in a scene, but we have watched many a finished outcome, and they are awesome together. Also awesome: Starbucks coffee.
