Pretty Little Liars showrunner Marlene King is only on day two of her directorial debut (Season 3, Episode 16: “Misery Loves Company”), but we're already loving her work, mainly because she’s taken to Instagram and Twitter to post quite a few intriguing photos and updates. Based on what we’ve seen, we have a feeling Spoby fans are going to be particularly pleased with the episode.

First, Marlene tweeted this photo of a very familiar rocking chair. We’re betting you guys remember where this came from, but in case you’re drawing a blank, this is the chair that Toby (Keegan Allen) made for Spencer (Troian Bellisario) in an oh-so-romantic gesture. Great abs aren't the only perk to having a boyfriend who enjoys manual labor.
Speaking of Toby’s abs, Marlene also tweeted this extremely enticing teaser: “First decision of the day: Approving how low Toby’s towel can go.” Talk about a tough job! But as we go grab a glass of water, we will pass the question to you guys: How low can Toby’s towel go?
We all remember what happened last time Spencer saw Toby in a towel — she practically melted! We’re not so sure Spencer’s going to be able to resist Toby’s hot bod much longer. Might we have a Spoby sex scene on our hands? Marlene King has teased that the couple will finally go all the way at some point, "maybe sooner than you think."
And that’s not all. Marlene also tweeted this photo of a scene being filmed in Spencer’s bedroom, with a camera in very close proximity to her bed.
We can’t say if any of these tweets from Marlene directly relate to one another, but, hey, we can dream. After all, is there anything cuter than a little Spoby romance?
Do you guys agree that it looks like Episode 16 will be good for Spoby fans? Are you excited for a potential Spoby sex scene, or do you think Spencer should wait? More importantly, how long do you think Toby’s going to be in a towel? (Let’s hope it’s for longer than one scene!)
All we know is that if Marlene’s directorial skills are anything like her photography skills, we’re willing to bet it’s going to be a good episode.
Catch an all-new episode of PLL on Tuesday, August 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
