If you thought the Halloween episode (Season 3, Episode 13: “This Is a Dark Ride”) of Pretty Little Liars was scary (who didn’t?!), you better head out to the nearest store and grab an extra blanket and maybe a nightlight or two.

After a fan asked PLL writer Andy Reaser if the Season 3 finale is going to be filled with “horror” like the Halloween episode was, Andy tweeted, “Scary. In fact, I think 3b is the scariest run of episodes the show has ever done.”

We can’t quite figure out how things could get scarier in Rosewood, but apparently we’re going to. Are you prepared to handle the second half of Season 3 if it offers such horror? What could be scarier than accidentally cuddling with a member of the “A” team or being stuck in a box with a dead body while simultaneously being thrown off a moving train? We’re drawing a blank.

But we’re betting that the horror of the Season 3 winter season has everything to do with Mona (Janel Parrish), Toby (Keegan Allen), Alison (Sasha Pieterse), Jenna (Tammin Sursok) and everyone else we consider even a little creepy around Rosewood. (We’re looking at you, Lucas [Brendan Robinson].)

What do you expect from the “scariest run of episodes” in PLL history? More suspense? More physical altercations? More life-and-death situations? All of the above?

We think it’s safe to say that Rosewood probably won’t be put on any of those “Best Small Towns to Raise a Family” lists anytime soon.

Catch the return of PLL Season 3 on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
