We’re still reeling from the news that Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) will be joining the cast of the Pretty Little Liars spin-off, Ravenswood, when it premieres in October. Will his role on Ravenswood be enough to make up for his PLL absence? PLL/Ravenswood showrunner Marlene King weighed in.

Apparently, Marlene has “huge plans” for Tyler in his new home of Ravenswood. She shared that slightly comforting tweet last night after the casting news broke and the PLL fandom imploded.

We’re glad to hear that Tyler will have more to do in Ravenswood, but we can’t help but mourn the loss of Caleb’s PLL future. No more epic Haleb moments. And what about the upcoming Caleb/Toby bromance? That was one of our most anticipated storylines of Season 4!

Well, at least Caleb will be around for the first half of Season 4. A few Ravenswood characters are being introduced in the PLL Halloween special (when, presumably, they kidnap Caleb in a giant, boyfriend-stealing net), after which Caleb will make the move to his new show. We’ll just have to squeeze every last drop out of the Caleb moments we get this summer, and hope that these “huge plans” Marlene has for Caleb are worth it.

Are you excited to hear that Caleb will have a lot to do on Ravenswood, or are you still crying over the thought that this could mean the end of Haleb? Let us know in the comments below!
