Shay Mitchell is the best role model ever. When she’s not encouraging gay teens to be themselves or speaking out for the Trevor Project, she’s doing humanitarian work in Cambodia. Seriously, she’s amazing! Shay is spending the next three weeks working with Somaly.org, an organization that fights human trafficking and sex slavery. Shay is at the sanctuary Somaly Mam, helping women and children who are victims of sex slavery.
Shay explained that she won’t be tweeting much the next few weeks while she’s there, but she's shared a few inspirational messages already. Yesterday she wrote,“Going to bed with a new outlook on life ... Thank you to the girls I met today who have changed my life forever...” Shay also revealed that she’s “meeting some of the most beautiful and strong women.”
Shay’s Pretty Little Liars co-stars are so proud of her. Lucy tweeted “Have an incredible/safe/life changing experience! See you soon” Ashley wrote, “Ahh so excited for you lady.”
We can’t wait to hear more about Shay’s experience and how she's helping others.
