Pretty Little Liars has a huge cast, all of whom have been on our list of suspects who could be “A.” Our top three suspects rotate week to week, usually because just as we’re starting to trust one of them, they go and do something like hook up with creepy Jenna Marshall (Tammin Sursok). But four ladies come to mind who never make the list: The Pretty Little Liars themselves. Well, all that’s about to change.

“A” has been tearing apart the lives of the little liars one decorative hair-feather at a time: First she hospitalized Hanna (Ashley Benson), then she orchestrated Spencer (Troian Bellisario)’s almost-murder, and from the looks of next week’s promo she’s trying to get rid of Emily (Shay Mitchell) for good. But what about Aria (Lucy Hale)?

Sure, there have been a few minor instances where “A”’s had it in for Aria, like the time “A” snuck into Ezra’s apartment and stole his diploma, but most of the times that Aria’s been seemingly targeted by “A,” it’s been the handiwork of someone else.

Check out three instances where we were falsely led to believe that “A” attacked Aria:

1. In Season 2, it seemed like “A” was trying to expose Aria and Ezra (Ian Harding)’s relationship. But ultimately, the saboteur was Noel Kahn (Brant Daugherty), who “A” quickly had kicked out of school. Did Aria get Noel out of the way and make it seem like the work of “A”?

2. When Aria was blindsided by a mysterious hooded figure in Spencer’s kitchen, we thought it was "A." It turned out to be Mike (Cody Christian), out on one of his evening burglaries. (The kid does a lot of those.)

3. More recently, the girls got a message from “A” at the fashion show that said “My dresses, my games, my rules,” and all of them fled the scene. Except for Aria, who felt the need to risk her life for some Tresemme hair products. Very suspicious behavior if you ask us... although, admittedly, beauty is pain.

What do you think, PLLers — does “A” stand for Aria?
