It's a hard time to be a Spoby shipper. Ever since the Pretty Little Liars Season 3 summer finale (Season 3, Episode 12: “The Lady Killer”), fans of Toby (Keegan Allen) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) have been desperately trying to figure out if there is a way their favorite relationship can survive despite Toby being involved with the "A" team.
The writers haven't helped, remaining frustratingly vague about Toby's motivations, his feelings for Spencer, and whether or not there's hope for the ship. Now PLL writer Andy Reaser has tweeted a few more hints that … really don't clarify much, actually. But since we're gluttons for pain, we're going to obsess over them, anyway.

When a fan asked Andy why he "hates" Spoby shippers, Andy replied, "I love Spoby shippers!" Then he encouraged fans to "trust our storytelling instead of crying ‘ship destroyed’ at every twist in the road."
So does that mean the ship's definitely not destroyed?
Maybe. On the other hand, when a fan complained about Wren (Julian Morris) returning, calling the hottie doc an "irrelevant" character whose only purpose is to mess up "real" couples like Haleb and Spoby, Andy replied, "I think Toby's doing a pretty good job of messing up Spoby."
So once again, good news and bad news come hand-in-hand for Spoby shippers. What do you think: Can these two crazy kids work it out, or is the relationship doomed?
