For some reason, major awards shows have yet to notice that ABC Family actually produces good television these days. So it's (sadly) no surprise that Pretty Little Liars didn't earn any nods when the Screen Actors Guild announced the nominations for its annual awards show today.

However, we do have some good news for Pretty Little Liars fans: Troian Bellisario's (Spencer) adorable boyfriend Patrick J. Adams got a surprise nod for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor, Drama Series for his work on USA's Suits.

On Suits, Patrick plays Mike Ross, a lovable and brilliant screw-up who manages to snag a swanky job as a lawyer despite not having a law degree.  If you haven't checked the show out, you should — it's a ton of fun, and Patrick is (obviously) very good.

Congrats, Patrick!
