Tyler Blackburn (Caleb) is leaving Rosewood and headed to…a Pilgrim Village. Yes, it’s true! Tyler has been cast as one of the lead roles on NBC’s new pilot, Brave New World, a comedy about employees at a historical theme park. It’s a far cry from Tyler’s role on Pretty Little Liars, but we can’t wait to see him.
Tyler will play John Litchfield, a staff member at Pilgrim Village who's “handsome, buff, tanned and shirtless; he’s everything you’d want in a Native American." More shirtless Tyler, yes please! But John's job is a lot harder than it sounds. He’ll be surrounded by eccentric employees, an annoying boss, and difficult visitors. Yikes.
Tyler landed a lead role, but don’t worry, he won’t be leaving PLL just yet. PLL Executive Producer Oliver Goldstick confirmed that Caleb will be around for a little while. Oliver told TVLine, “We will indeed see our Caleb again, and there is hope for Caleb/Hanna fans when he returns.” (Does that mean Haleb will get back together?) Oliver added, that Tyler “will be available to us until July, so we’re not that concerned.”
Congrats to Tyler on his new gig! Will you watch him on Brave New World if the pilot gets picked up?
