Pretty Little Liars always ends with an episode tag featuring "A" doing something creepy, but the one that closed out Season 3, Episode 11: “Single Fright Female” was especially bizarre.

In the final scene, not one but two black hooded figures meet up by a jukebox. One "A" passes the other a set of keys, perhaps to the apartment we've seen "A" hanging out in for the last few tags.

A pretty but chilling song plays on the jukebox during this scene, and many fans are wondering what it is, and if it means anything.

The song is a classic Motown hit is called "Smiling Faces Sometimes," performed by The Undisputed Truth. You can listen to it here.

Here are the lyrics:

Smiling faces sometimes pretend to be your friend
Smiling faces show no traces of the evil that lurks within (Can you dig it?)
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes, they don't tell the truth
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof

Let me tell ya
The truth is in the eyes, but the eyes don't lie
Amen
Remember a smile is just a frown turned upside-down
My friend, so hear me when I'm sayin'
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes, they don't tell the truth
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof

Beware
Beware of the handshake that hides the snake
Can you dig it, can you dig it?
I'm telling you
Beware
Beware of a pat on the back
It just might hold you back
Jealousy (jealousy)
Misery (misery)
Envy (envy)
I tell you, you can't see behind
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes, they don't tell the truth
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof

Your enemy won't do you no harm
'Cause you know where he's coming from
Don't let the handshake and the smile fool ya
Take my advice, I'm only trying to school ya

Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes, they don't tell the truth
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes...

This song is definitely very "A"-appropriate, since it's all about people who appear nice on the outside, but are actually evil. Sounds a bit like Mona (Janel Parrish) — and the big betrAyer.

Are there any other clues we can take from this song? The line "Beware of the handshake that hides the snake" stands out because of the snake in this episode. And what about jealousy,
misery, and envy? Is that what motivates the betrAyer? Or are we reading too much into this?

Whatever it all means, it's definitely a cool song.

Catch the PLL Season 3 summer finale on Tuesday, August 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
