One of Pretty Little Liars’ most controversial characters might not be getting a lot of screen time after Season 3. And, as Aria (Lucy Hale) fans, we can’t say we’re disappointed.

Amanda Schull, who plays Byron’s (Chad Lowe) former mistress Meredith on PLL, has scored a plum role on USA’s untitled drama pilot, which co-stars How to Make it in America hottie Bryan Greenberg.

According to TVLine, Amanda “will play Melody Pruitt-Morales, the beautiful daughter of a wealthy former U.S. senator who also used to date Greenberg’s character. Now married to the fast-rising Miami district attorney, she plays the role of socialite-political wife.”

Sounds like a fantastic part! But what will that mean for Meredith? Of course, this pilot might not be made into a full series, or Amanda might continue to appear on PLL as a guest star. But we wouldn't be sad to see Meredith leave Rosewood for good.

One possible reason for Meredith to go is simply that she decides to get out of Rosewood, thanks to the mean stares from the Liars in school. Another more sinister option is that someone (“A”?) either pays her to go away, or threatens her with violence.

Ideally, the end of her storyline will have a lot to do with Alison (Sasha Pieterse), who clearly has a strange relationship with Byron. Also, Alison is the one who knew about his affair with Meredith in the first place. Fingers crossed something huge will be revealed!
