Nate/Lyndon (Sterling Sulieman)
Nate shows up in Rosewood in Season 3, Episode 5: “Birds of a Feather,” claiming to be the cousin of Maya (Bianca Lawson), who was murdered at the end of season 2, and a transfer student at Hollis College. He andEmily (Shay Mitchell) bond over the loss of Maya, but Nate is not all he seems to be...
In Season 3, Episode 12: “The Lady Killer,” we find out at the Nate’s real name is Lyndon James, and he is actually the stalker Maya spoke about from True North. Nate killed Maya because she fell in love with Emily, and he plans to kill Paige (Lindsay Shaw) and make Emily watch.
Emily is not on board with this plan, and manages to lead Nate away from Paige and into a nearby lighthouse where she stabs and kills Nate in self-defense.
Garrett (Yani Gellman)
There is much more mystery surrounding the death of Garrett. A former police officer, Emily’s neighbor, and member of the N.A.T. Club, Garrett was a Rosewood fixture until he met an untimely demise in Season 3, Episode 13: “This Is a Dark Ride.”
Even though Garrett had been around for a while, we were never really able to figure out how he felt about the Liars. In season 1, he helped them blackmail Ian, but then we found out he was secretly dating Jenna. They eventually broke up, but he always seemed to know more about Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) death than he would let on to the girls.
In the end, he was seemingly killed for giving information to Spencer (Troian Bellisario). The night of the Halloween party, he confessed to Spence that he had seen Alison the night she was killed. According to Garrett, he and Allison made (then blind) Jenna believe that Garrett had killed Ali, but Ali was alive when he last saw her. This confession became more credible when Garrett’s body was found later that night, presumably put there by “A.”
Something tells us Nate and Garrett won’t be the last Rosewood residents to kick the bucket this season. Who do you think killed Garrett? Do you think Nate really killed Maya or did Team “A” have something to do with it? And who do you think could be next? Sound off in the comments below!
