So, you’re still dying to know who the new “A” is on Pretty Little Liars. Don’t worry — we’ve got our crack team of sleuths on the case, picking up even the tiniest clue for your mystery-solving pleasure. Here are some hints from Season 3, Episode 11: “Single Fright Female” that may help us solve this thing for good!
3. Ezra Fitz
Why he might be “A”: Now that Ezra (Ian Harding) has lost our trust due to the baby mama situation, would it be that much of a stretch for him to be the betrayer in next week’s finale? After all, Ezra is a big fan of photography, just like “A” is. And Ezra mentions liking older music this week, and then we see “A” playing old music on the jukebox. Maybe the reason that Wes is around is to warn Aria that something is up with Ezra. Wes just might be easy on the eyes and a hero!
Why he might not: C’mon, people — this is Ezra we’re talking about! Does he even have a motive? And would the writers really destroy the longest running romance on the show?
2. CeCe Drake
Why she might be “A”: For starters, CeCe knew that Hanna (Ashley Benson) is a klepto, but Hanna started her thievery after Ali's (Sasha Pieterse) disappearance. Plus, when “A” threatened Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Hanna at Noel's (Brant Daugherty) cabin last week, we couldn’t help but remember that CeCe is super familiar with that cabin. And CeCe’s comment this week to Spencer (Troian Bellisario) about Penn makes it seem like CeCe might be faking her connection to the school just to have leverage over Spencer. We also wouldn’t be surprised if CeCe framed Paige (Lindsey Shaw) by putting that earring in her purse, since she seems to hate Paige more than most people hate paying taxes.
Why she might not: We love how sassy CeCe is, so we’re hoping that she really does want to help Spencer get into college, just like she seemed to be helping Emily by telling Jenna (Tammin Sursok) to stay away from Nate. Then again, now that it seems that Nate and Jenna may have a history, we’re wondering if CeCe knew this when she made that call to Jenna about Nate. Uh, is anyone in Rosewood trustworthy?
1. Alison DiLaurentis
Why she might be “A”: If Ali is alive, then she's snuck into the girls’ houses before, so we wouldn’t be that surprised to learn that she’s the one who swiped the knife from Emily’s room. We could also see Ali (or her twin) wanting to frame Paige by putting that snake in the dressing room and making the Liars assume that Paige was responsible. Ali might even enjoy handling a snake, since she's rather snake-like at times herself.
Why she might not: Well, we still don’t know if Ali is even still alive or has a twin, and we haven’t gotten many twin-related clues lately. And the fact that Ali got seriously scared when she walked away from Paige in that flashback makes us realize that there are in fact people who can frighten Ali. The thought of someone being more diabolical than Ali is scary in itself.
