5. Wren Kingston
Why he might be “A”: Wren's (Julian Morris) visit to Spencer (Troian Bellisario) is suspicious, as we’ve assumed he and Mona (Janel Parrish) are in cahoots because of the Radley connection. We’re now wondering if Wren was the person Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) called when Byron spotted her on the night Ali (Sasha Pieterse) died. And Wren likes to drink, so he might have purchased the whiskey for Jason’s (Drew Van Acker) porch. Guilt by intoxication.
Why he might not be: It doesn’t seem like he would have much motive to be on the “A” team, other than Melissa’s own hatred of Ali. Plus, would he and Toby (Keegan Allen) really both be on the “A” team, considering they’ve seemed to be rivals? Then again, all is fair in love and stalking.
4. Emily Fields
Why she might be “A”: It’s quite the coincidence for Emily (Shay Mitchell) to escape from the elevator just before it plummets, no? And given how much Paige (Lindsey Shaw) hates Ali, we could see them both on the “A” team together. Plus, we noticed that Emily shuts the hospital curtain just before Jason disappears, as if she was helping the “A” team to be discreet. (“Pay no attention to that stalker behind the curtain.”)
Why she might not be: It would really be a stretch for Emily to be on the “A” team. Like, did she somehow drug herself that night — or else she faked it? Still, after all that Emily has been through, we can see her turning to the “A” team out of desperation. We’re not saying it’s likely — we’re just throwing it out there.
3. CeCe Drake
Why she might be “A”: CeCe (Vanessa Ray) is sketchier than ever this week — which is certainly saying something. She lied to Aria (Lucy Hale) about getting her car towed, which makes us wonder if she was helping Wilden steal that photo of the two of them with Ali at Cape May. And we don’t know if we can trust Jason’s memory of the night Ali died, in which CeCe appears to be dressed like Ali. Very strange.
Why she might not be: CeCe takes a step back on the list this week because the Liars finally suspect she’s up to something — and whenever someone suspects you on this show, you’re often just a red herring. So maybe she’s not actually “A” but was involved in Ali’s death? It’s clear CeCe has done something evil — we just haven’t pinpointed it yet.
2. Ezra Fitz
Why he might be “A”: It seems that no one really know where Ezra (Ian Harding) is, which is suspicious. Let’s not forget he has impeccable taste in scotch — and that he’s over 21 — so he could very well have left those 99 bottles of whiskey on Jason’s porch. Maybe Wes is trying to pry Aria away from his big brother in order to save her? Either that, or Wes is just pervy. (We’re thinking it’s the latter, but you never know.)
Why he might not: So Ezra is finally being a good dad, and landing on this list is the thanks he gets? We do love Ezra, so we’re holding out hope that all the sketchy stuff he and his family have done can somehow can be explained away — but we’re not so sure.
1. Ali DiLaurentis
Why she might be “A”: Ali dropped down to number three last week, but she’s back to the top spot this week! Let’s face it: Putting all that whiskey on Jason’s porch is definitely something Ali would have done. And we can almost see her wanting to drop Jason down an elevator shaft, too. Translation: These siblings have some issues.
Why she might not be: Now that CeCe was seen dressing like Ali in that yellow top, it’s possible CeCe was the one in the red coat, too. Still, we’re sticking to our hunch that Ali is “A” for the time being.
