So, you’re still dying to know who “A” is. Don’t worry — we’ve got our crack team of sleuths on the case, picking up even the tiniest clues for your mystery-solving pleasure. Here are some hints from Pretty Little Liars Season 2, Episode 13: “The First Secret,” that may help us solve this thing for good!

Suspect #1: Lucas Gottesman
Why he might be “A”: We discover that he was wearing the baby mask, meaning he was probably the one who shoved Alison in the abandoned house and threatened to kill her. (Way to grow a pair, Lucas!) Then again, we also see a whole bunch of other people in baby masks, scattered throughout the party. Apparently, that costume was as popular in Rosewood in 2008 as Justin Bieber wigs were in the rest of the world in 2010.

Why he might not be “A”: Lucas certainly has the motivation to attack Alison (as we see when she invents that infamous nickname), but does he have the, uh, upper-body strength? That attacker in the haunted house looked pretty intimidating, whereas let’s just say that, when it comes to fighting, Lucas is not exactly The Rock.

Suspect #2: Jenna Marshall
Why she might be “A”: Okay, so the show had already given us a ton of reasons why Jenna could be “A,” and this week confirmed that Jenna and Ali’s bad blood began from the moment they met, with Ali strong-arming Jenna into changing her costume idea. C’mon, Ali — Lady Gaga has worn a gajillion wacky costumes, so we think two people can share her. Also, Jenna and Mona are apparently closer than we realize, as we see their friendly introduction at Noel’s Halloween party. Could this unlikely duo be working together as “A”? The mysteries just don’t end on this show!

Why she might not be “A”: We’ll admit that we were pretty creeped out when Ali — after Jenna turns down her offer to join her clique — seems to snap, calling Jenna a “slut” to Spencer. But Jenna remains cool and collected throughout their exchange, and “cool” and “collected” are two words that we would not use to describe “A.”

Suspect #3: Melissa Hastings
Why she might be “A”: We hadn’t known much about Melissa’s relationship to Ali, but we learn this week that they were definitely not besties, as Ali is repeatedly shown trying to turn Spence against her sister. Also, Ali wasn’t exactly hiding her interest in Ian, which gives Melissa plenty of reasons to despise Ali more than most people hate rush-hour traffic.

Why she might not be “A”: Ali’s attitude about Melissa makes us wonder if Ali knows some kind of secret about Melissa. That said, Spencer defends her sister in this week’s episode, so we have to assume that Spencer would know if Melissa is stalker material. Then again, Spencer once fell for Ian, so she’s not exactly as astute as Judge Judy when it comes to assessing people’s character.
