Who Wore the Color-Blocking Trend Best? Lucy Hale vs. Shay Mitchell vs. Amanda Seyfried (PHOTO)
Color-blocking became a huge trend for spring and summer after several high-profile fashion houses debuted the look on their Spring/Summer 2012 runways. Prada, Peter Som, and Derek Lam all featured stacked, separated colors in their designs.
So we thought we’d take three of our style heros, Lucy Hale (Aria), Shay Mitchell (Emily), and Amanda Seyfried, and compare their own personal takes on the look. Lucy wore this halter-topped Catherine Malandrino dress to the MTV Movie Awards on June 3; Shay wore this orange and pink sleeveless dress to a Seventeen Magazine event earlier this year; and Amanda wore this Givenchy gown to the Tony Awards on June 10.
Shay’s is the most casual, simple look, while Amanda went for pure glamour. Which of the three girls’ looks do you like best?
