As we gear up for Pretty Little Liars Season 3, we're not really looking beyond the first few episodes of the new season when thinking about the show's future. We're so caught up in the current mysteries, it's hard to think about what the show might look like another season or two down the line.

Fortunately, based on a new tweet, it sounds like showrunner Marlene King isn't having the same problem.

Recently, a fan asked Marlene the question we're all wondering: "Is it just Mona and one other person involved or a buch?"

Marlene replied, "my love you must watch seasons three four and five."

Three, four and five!? we asked ourselves. Is Pretty Little Liars definitely around for the long haul?

There has been no official word from ABC Family about the future of the show, so don't take Marlene's tweet as some kind of guarantee that the show will be renewed. However, since Pretty Little Liars is currently one of the channel's biggest hits, it's not unreasonable to think it will probably last a while (unless the show loses a sizable chunk of the audience because of the "A" reveal).

It sounds like Marlene has a plan, or least a vague idea, for not just this season, but many to come. Does that mean we won't get all the answers about exactly what is going on with Mona (Janel Parrish) and her possible accomplices for years? Sigh.

Catch an all-new Pretty Little Liars when Season 3 premieres on Tuesday, June 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
