Good news Pretty Little Liars fans, there’s a big future ahead for your favorite stars. No, they aren’t hitting the silver screen just yet, but it’s certainly possible at some point.

PLL Executive Producer Marlene King told Deadline that “I know that Alloy would love to create a feature franchise with this. We've talked about doing a feature film once the girls get older.” But no need to rush into things; the show has only been on for one season. We want to enjoy a lot more PLL on TV first!

King agrees and says “it’s definitely the golden age of television for women in the sense that ensemble movies aren’t getting made, but ensemble TV shows are on ABC Family and Lifetime.” She explained that the show is so successful on live TV (as opposed to just online) “because it’s a mystery, is becoming destination TV.”

From the sounds of it, there will be many more seasons of PLL, but know that a movie could happen years from now and the little liars support the idea. They told ClevverTV that it would be a great way to wrap up the show and they’re excited about all the possibilities. Plus, with four more PLL books coming out, there’s a lot of material to work with.
