We’ve always been huge Emaya fans, but in light of recent events, do you think it’s time for this Pretty Little Liars couple to call it quits? (Don’t kill us Emaya shippers, just hear us out.)
On this week’s episode (Season 2, Episode 20: “CTRL: A”), Maya (Bianca Lawson) told Emily (Shay Mitchell) some upsetting news: her parents discovered a “really old” joint in Maya’s stuff, left over from their move out of the DiLaurentis house. She was scared that her parents would send her back to the rehab boot camp.
Emily later caught Maya lighting up a joint at Hanna’s (Ashley Benson) house party for the Rosewood swim team. Maya tried to gloss everything over by inviting Em to come to San Francisco with her and blaming the joint on all the stress brought on by Emily’s teammates monopolizing her.
That huge breach of trust, plus the fact that Maya couldn’t be happy for Emily at the party, and refused to socialize with the team, make us wonder if Maya is really the ideal girlfriend. Not to mention the fact that we’ve seen Maya having suspicious conversations with Noel (Brant Daugherty) and Jason (Drew Van Acker), who are both connected to the N.A.T. club, and “A” suspects.
