Prince George’s First Birthday: How Will The Tiny Royal Celebrate?
Tuesday, July 22 marks a huge milestone in the lives of the royal family: Prince George turns one! We can hardly believe it’s already been a year since we first laid eyes on the cutest member of the royal family, but time really does fly. He’s getting so big — and even after only a year of growth, his hair is undeniably fabulous.
Prince George deserves a birthday bash fit for a (future) king, so how will he and his family celebrate the occasion? According to a source close to the fam, in the most British way possible — with a tea party!
“The family is marking it privately with close family and friends at Kensington Palace,” a palace rep tells Us Weekly.
Reportedly, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Harry, and the Middleton family will all be in attendance as George’s tea takes place inside the palace, with the option to “extend to the garden if the weather remains glorious.”
Sounds fun, but not exactly kid approved, right? Fortunately, since one-year-olds don’t remember much about that first party, it’s kinda more for the adults, anyway. And, like any birthday, there will be presents.
“George will be getting clothes and wooden toys from mum and dad for his birthday,” the source adds. “William and Kate don’t want to go overboard. He has been given so many gifts over the months and there’s only so much space to store them!”
Happy birthday, Prince George! We can’t wait to see what your second year brings!
