Bravo Pulls the Plug on Phaedra Parks’s Spin-Off Show
Sad news. If you've been anxiously counting down the days until the premiere of Phaedra Parks’s own Bravo show, Rich People's Problems, you are going to be pretty disappointed. According to Wendy Williams, The Real Housewives of Atlantaspin-off has been nixed — all because of Apollo Nida's legal woes. At least, accordingto Wendy Williams.
“Phaedra and Apollo were doing a spin-off show, which is called Rich People’s Problems, and it was supposed to premiere later on this year,” Wendy said on her daytime show this week. “It follows Phaedra as she does the legal eagle thing for rich people in Atlanta. She’s perfectly boring on The Housewives, so God only knows why they would give her a spin-off show. Now that Apollo’s facing up to 30 years in prison, for bank fraud and identity theft — Bravo wants to wash their hands of that little spin-off show.”
For those who missed it, Apollo is currently facing charges for creating fake companies, which gave him access to databases of people to steal money from. He then allegedly opened fraudulent bank accounts with those real names, and placed stolen U.S. Treasury checks, retirement checks, and auto loan profits in them. He surrendered to federal officials on January 23 and was released shortly after on a pretrial bail of $25,000.
We hope everything works out for the couple, considering they have two small children at home to take care of. But given Apollo’s criminal past, we can't help worrying that the law may not take this situation so lightly.
