Rachel Lindsay “Heartbroken” Over ‘Bachelor’ Split From Nick Viall

Rachel Lindsay might be our Bachelorette 2017 in real time, but in Bachelor 2017 time, she’s still in the running for the next Mrs. Nick Viall.

That has us wondering how things ultimately end between the Season 21 frontrunner and the Wisconsin hunk — and luckily, she’s sharing a little bit of intel on that.

Eventually, we will see this breakup play out, either on Hometown Dates, Fantasy Suites, or even in the Finale — click over here to spoil yourself on when.

What we do now know is Rachel was just as shocked as we are that Nick would let her go.

“I was definitely heartbroken over the situation,” the 31-year-old gal tells People.

She adds, “I didn’t expect it. I didn’t think it would end that way for me.”

After hearing all that, you might be surprised she’s ready to date 25 to 30 new men, but bear in mind…

The split was actually filmed back in November, so over three months ago.

“The breakup wasn’t that long ago, but then in reality I wasn’t really dating Nick that long, either. I really have had time to deal with my feelings,” Rachel points out.

So what has she been up to since then?

“Since then, I’ve been able to get back into work and be with family and friends, I’ve moved on from it,” the Dallas lawyer recounts.

She’s so at peace, in fact, she says knowing the Bachelor likely found love with someone else makes her “happy.”

“I’m really at the point where I’m ready for that and going through this season with Nick and being so close, made me realize how much I want it even more,” she details.

The learning experience also provided with her with the realization she’s “ready for this” — this being setting down and starting a family.

“I’m at a stage in my life where I’m ready for a family, I’m ready to get married,” she shares.

“I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to do this again — and to be I the driver’s seat! I have my choice! I’m excited for that. It’s a different role.”

The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
