Rachel Lindsay & Bryan Abasolo Flaunt Their Love (and Bods) Amid Skepticism
Part of that is likely due to the uncomfortable circumstances surrounding their Bachelorette 2017 engagement and After the Final Rose appearance, which had runner-up Peter Kraus as a sympathetic figure.
But there might be more to this backlash than we realized...
Going strictly off of their social media and public activity, these two are just the totally in-love fiancés they contend to be.
Since the Season 13 finale aired, they’ve been on a bit of a whirlwind tour of press interviews and appearances, where the future Mr. and Mrs. have gushed about their future together.
They’re even already looking ahead to making it official, recently teasing a possible wedding date of “next December, maybe early January of ‘19.”
Now, Bryan and Rachel are able to get some family time in, first jetting off to Texas to visit her family last week, and then down to Miami for his brood over the weekend.
And boy, did they welcome her with open arms!
Even the chiropractor’s tough mama made a toast applauding their romance, so that’s a good sign.
Still, the two did fit in an event appearance while in the Florida city, packing on some serious PDA at a pool party.
The Colombian hunk even posted a paparazzi shot of the two locking lips in their swimsuits — and rocking impressive beach bodies.
It’s a sweet shot, but it comes at an interesting time considering the recent skepticism surrounding the validity of their relationship.
Following one of their recent stops at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Casino, an In Touch report (via Life & Style) maintained the two were only showing affection when the cameras were rolling.
“There was very little PDA. At one point the host asked them to kiss, and they refused,” a source told the mag.
The insider continued, “They did smile when a photographer took their picture. But the second the pictures stopped, they went right back to being distant. They hardly looked like a newly engaged couple.”
This source then claimed the only reason they’re together is to “make as much money as they can” through appearance fees, sponsored posts, product endorsements, and more.
In fact, the attorney caught a lot of flak after the finale when her first post with her new fiancé was a Boomerang of the two pushing Dunkin’ Donuts coffee.
“Right now, Rachel is making from $8K to $15K per social media post. She has lots of different people coming to her with their products because she’s so big right now,” the insider shared.
Of course, that’s nothing new in the world of Bachelor couples. Many totally happy pairs — parents Jade and Tanner Tolbert and Catherine and Sean Lowe — are known for posting sponsored content on Instagram.
My sleep has been pretty restless now that I'm in the beginning of my 3rd trimester, and since I want to stay all natural, I have the efforts of @teamiblends' Relax tea by my side. Tanner likes it, as well, so now we both drink a cup to unwind at night. It's been doctor approved, too! Use JADE15 for 15% off yours. #thankyouteami #sleepaid
However, the timing threw a lot of suspicion on this newest duo, who followers worried were more interested in growing their celebrity and careers than their romance.
Meanwhile, the publication asked second-place-finisher Peter what he thought of his ex and her beau posting “#ad” content, and he answered diplomatically — if not slightly shadily.
“It’s what they want to do. Whatever they do in their life, I’m no longer part of it, so it’s what they want to do with it,” he stated.
So there you have it!
