In what has been a whirlwind of a week for Snooki after getting kicked off of Dancing With the Stars, the former Jersey Shore star is now dealing with some major shade from a radio DJ who had no problem serving up some hate.
The new mom was making her rounds after her zombie farewell from the ABC reality competition show and called into 850 KOA-AM, where she spoke with Colorado radio morning show host Steffan Tubbs.
During a commercial break, the disc jockey muttered some terrible things about Snooks, saying the reality star is “f—king ugly.” Problem is, the mic wasn’t actually off and his hurtful words went out to thousands of listeners and has now filtered out into the entire universe.
But don’t worry about Snooks, she took the hurtful news with a grain of salt and seemingly joked about it on Twitter. “No hard feelings Steffan Tubbs..i am "f—king ugly" :(,” Snooki wrote on October 30. We can’t actually tell if she’s joking or if she was really hurt — it could go either way.
Since the incident, the radio station apologized for Stefan’s harsh comments on its Facebook page, saying the station was taking “appropriate disciplinary action.”
“We are aware of a recent inappropriate comment that was made on-air by Steffan Tubbs,” the statement continued. “While Steffan made the comment in what he thought was a private conversation, it was still thoughtless and insensitive and we apologize to anyone whom it offended. We take matters of this nature very seriously and we will take appropriate disciplinary action."
Shockingly, the “disciplinary action” didn’t mean a suspension or termination, because Stefan was back on the air the next day. But don’t worry, Snooki fans, she got over it and got into the Halloween spirit last night!
