Ramona Singer Opens Up About Childhood With Abusive, Alcoholic Father (VIDEO)

The Real Housewives of New York City ladies got more than they probably bargained for when they ventured to Heather Thomson’s home in the Berkshires. Even if you ignore the fact that Ramona Singer threw a (plastic) wine glass in Kristen Taekman’s face, there was still plenty crazy to fill a weekend getaway. When the gals went out into the woods to explore, things got extremely real.

“Oh my god. This is f—king unreal. Now I’m freaking,” Ramona revealed to co-star Carole Radziwill while they were alone in the wooded area. “This looks exactly like my backyard.”

Ramona then began to open up to her pal about what it was like to grow up with a verbally abusive, alcoholic father.

“I believe my father moved us to the country so he could just hurt my mother and the neighbors couldn’t hear,” she said. “It brought back memories of my parents arguing, and that’s just something I don’t want to remember. As a child to hear that every day is stressful.”

That’s when the crap hit the fan. Ramona began to break down, saying she felt like “someone was going to attack” her if she didn’t leave.

“I’m having a meltdown … you bury memories so deep, you don’t want to remember that. I have to go. I have to get out of here. Seriously!”

After rejoining the group, Ramona took Heather to the side and said she had to leave immediately and that there was a private plane waiting 10 minutes away that would whisk her away, flying her off into the sunset — well, the Hamptons, at least.
