Ramona Singer Talks RHONY Season 6: There’s Going to Be Lots of Fireworks! — Exclusive

Ladies and gentlemen, the wait is over. And it sounds like it was well worth it. After a much-too-long hiatus, the Real Housewives of New York are headed back to the airwaves on March 11. And in a surprising shake-up, newcomer Kristen Taekman has been added to the cast while Luann De Lesseps has announced that she’ll be stepping back a bit.

So what can we expect? To find out, we went to the best source on the planet: RHONY’s breakout star and series vet, Ramona Singer. We caught up with Ramona at the dinner she hosted at David Burke at Bloomingdale's in NYC on Jan. 23. David, a Top Chef Masters alum and star of the food world, whipped up a four-course dinner for guests; two of the courses were paired with Ramona Singer wine.

In between delectable bites and sips, we chatted exclusively with Ramona about the new season.

Wetpaint Entertainment: Before anything else, we have to talk about the wine. Why do you think you’ve had so much success with it?

Ramona: I believe that when you do a product, you should be really passionate about it. You have to stand behind it. I don’t just stick my name on the label. I designed the bottle, I’m very involved with the taste. If you take something on as your own then it has a greater chance to be successful.

You have a red and white. What’s next?

I’m thinking a rose. Maybe a rose wine or champagne.

What can we expect in from Season 6?

Oh, there’s a lot of crazy stuff that goes on. We filmed all over– the Berkshires, the Hamptons. We went to some great places.

Are you happy with the way filming went?

I would say yes. There are tons of fireworks – tons! But the great thing is, unlike past seasons, nothing gets too dark.

The Real Housewives of New York premieres March 11 at 9 pm on Bravo.
